Directness
Also calledDirect success
In tree testing, the share of participants who reached the answer without going back up the tree. It shows how confidently people found it.
A direct success means every click was on the path to the right answer. An indirect success means the participant went down a wrong branch first, backtracked, and then found it.
Low directness with high success points to labels that are close but not quite right: people get there, but only after a wrong guess.
