Time allocation

Also calledAllocation

How a person's working week is divided between activities, such as research, UI design, reviews and meetings.

Every design role spends its week differently. A product designer spends a lot of time on flows and interface work; a design manager spends most of theirs on people and alignment; a researcher spends it on studies and sharing what they found.

There is no credible public dataset on how designers actually split their week, so any allocation chart is a practitioner's estimate. That is why it is more useful as a set of adjustable assumptions than as a fact.
